The sculpture, little tike, is a miniaturized recreation of the Little Tikes Wave Climber that lived in the backyard of my childhood home. In this space, my friends, siblings, cousins and I played, dreamed, and built worlds. However, the distance of adulthood makes those activities distant. The wonky lines, shine of the fabric, and change of scale illustrate this sentiment, depicting a space that is inaccessible and symbolic, much like childhood imagination. It becomes an adult dollhouse, one that is looked at, but not utilized as it once was in childhood.
