Submissions are now open. Make your submission before April 1, 2024 midnight to be considered for the 2024 Era Contemporary Artist Prize!

We will be handing out THREE prizes: one grand prize winner, and two Rising Star prizes.

The Rising Star winners will recieve:

1. The title of Era Contemporary Rising Star Art Prize Recepient

2. Free entry into our next opportunity

The Grand Prize winner will recieve:

1. A solo, live virtual exhibition of your work promoted and hosted by Era Contemporary within 12 months of the Prize.

2. A cash prize of $300 to help offset supply costs for you to make new work

3. An audio and video interview with you on The Creative Heroine Podcast

4. An article written about your new work and published on Medium with Era Contemporary

Should they win, artists must complete at least 8 new works for the solo show with Era Contemporary within 12 months, and be able to attend a live Zoom exhibition and explain their works to attendees and collectors. The exhibition date will be discussed and agreed upon by the artist and gallery. Winning artists will retain 60% of the sale of their work per our usual gallery split. Artwork must be available for at least 1 month to be exclusive with Era Contemporary. Artworks must be kept off websites and social media (except teasers) until the show unveiling. Artwork may be of any concept and any 2 dimensional medium. We do look for contemporary realist work with a distinctive style, and artists that are professional, timely and friendly to work with. The results will be given in late April 2024.

1. Copy and paste the following questions into the body of an email to Jessica Libor, director, at eracontemporary@gmail.com with email heading “ARTIST PRIZE 2024 (Your name)”. Please answer the questions below so we get a good idea of the body of work you’d like to make should you win the Prize.

   1. What is your full name?

   2. Where are you based out of in the world?

   3. What medium do you work in?

   4. What are the typical sizes of your work?

   5. Briefly, what is your educational background?

   6. What themes are important to you in your work?

   7. What concepts and imagery would you like to explore should you win the Prize?

   8. What would you like to call your solo show?

   9. How many pieces do you envision being in the show?

   10. What is your Instagram or social media handles?

   11. What is your art website?

   12. Are you comfortable showing up on Zoom interviews/exhibits with the public watching?

   13. Why do you think the Prize would help you this year?

2. Next, please pay the submission fee of $35 via this link. Please attach this receipt to the email.

3. Attach 8-10 images of your past work that relates to your work you’d like to show for your solo show.

4. Attach an artist statement and CV.
