Inner Child Work by Kirsten Holt Beitler

$1,200.00

Inner Child Work by Kirsten Holt Beitler is an oil on panel, 16" x 20"  framed piece.

In the words of the artist:

Inner Child Work is symbolic and literal representation of the therapeutic work of reconnecting with parts of myself that have experienced wounding with the experiences and safety of the adult self that is now.

Here I show myself in what was then my safe place, my teaching studio, surrounded by the art of my students. I am holding my younger self on my lap as she plays with a doll that was made for her that had its own doll, a kind of nesting doll stack of selves.

My protector is a real item from my past, a large plastic, blowup Easter bunny decoration that I found to be magically comforting as a child.

Domestic shipping included in price.
