The Era Contemporary Artist Prize is an opportunity to win a solo show and $300.
The Era Contemporary Artist Prize champions an artist with cohesive and beautiful vision for their 2 dimensional work in the realm of magical realism, excellence in craftsmanship, and who would benefit from a solo exhibition.
The deadline for entering the prize is May 1, 2020. The solo show will be held at the Era Contemporary main gallery space at the Mill Studios, 128 Leverington Avenue, Philadelphia, PA 19127, Studio 306. The recipient will have the entire gallery to install work in, and the work will be up from December 1, 2020 to January 15th, 2021 by appointment only, with an opening reception the first week of December. Work must be installed a week before the show opens. Era Contemporary will provide drinks and light bites, digital advertising and promotion, an exclusive online interview with the artist and a podcast episode interview on The Inspired Painter, and a $300 prize (payable in June 2020).
The artist will be responsible for the cost of shipping or transporting work to and from the gallery, promoting the exhibition, and attending the exhibition if possible.
Work will be judged on merit and vision alone.
This prize is open to:
